Columbia Falls RV Park, Columbia, MT

A very nice park. The owners really do a great job on maintaining the park.  I love the flowers they plant.  I am including pictures of the park.

Poulson RV Resort

We just purchased a lot in the Poulson RV Resort which overlooks Flathead Lake. We bought a little piece of heaven.  We are now officially Montanoans!  We have had our friends, Jerry and Jean here this last week and Judy and Dick have been here last weekend.  We have eaten at Ricciardis Italian Restaurant and for Jean's birthday we ate at Many Springs which is right on the water.  It was a beautiful night, and the food was wonderful!  We have gone to Bigfork which is a town on the other side of the lake.  It is really a cute town!  Sunday we went to an equestrian event in Kalispell which we really enjoyed.  We have managed to keep pretty busy!  We love the people here in Montana.  They are so friendly and accomadating.

The Flathead Lake is the largest fresh-water lake west of Mississippi.  There are 30+ islands in the lake. The lake is a beautiful blue-geen color.

Sunrise over the lake - view from our site

We moved from Eagles Nest RV Park to the Motorcoach Resort in Polson, MT.  Our RV site is situated on a hill overlooking Flathead Lake which is the largest fresh water lake west of the Mississippi.  The color of the lake is beautiful blue-green color.  Larry and I fell in love with this area, so we decided to buy a lot.  We are very excited about it.  I call it my little piece of heaven!  The town in approx. 5,000 people.  We have toured the area.  We went on a boat on the lake, and we have checked out Bigfork which is a cute town on the north side of the lake.  Kerr dam is a hugh dam just a few miles outside of Polson.  All fourteen gates were open and the water was gushing out of it.  We attended the Cherry festival.  Today, we had lunch at Ricciardis, which is an Italian restaurant.  Great food!!!  I am including the pictures we have taken of the area, etc.

Polson, MT. 7-6-11 - 7-13-11

We are staying at Eagle Nest RV Park in Polson, Mt.  It is a small and lovely park, but the sites are really close together. The lake is a beautiful bluegreen color.  We are next to a golf course.  We have met a lot of nice people here at the park.  We really love this area of Montana.  Hope to play golf at least once or twice.  We are going on a dinner cruise Sunday on Flathead Lake.  Last night we had high winds and a rain storm.  Today is beautiful and sunny.  Larry is cleaning our clubs so we can play in Pablo which is an executive course a few miles away.  We are trying to get some practice before we go to Stonridge RV Resort with there is a golf course.

We are now in Columbia Falls RV Park in Columbia Falls, Mt.  We are only about 14 miles from Glacier Nat'l Park.  We are about 20 miles from Kalispell, MT. The park is a lovely park and well taken care of.  We chose this park due to the close proximity to Glacier Nat'l Pk.  We would stay here again.  The weather has been rainy, but yesterday it was complete sunshine, so we took that opportunity to go to Glacier Park.  We went to West Glacier, but are only able to go into the park 16 miles as the road is closed due to snow.  We drove around MacDonald's Lake which was a beautiful turquoise blue color.   We took more pictures.  The area in western MT. is very beautiful and the surrounding snow-covered mtns. are awesome in their height and beauty.

We headed to Missoula< Mt. and are staying for a week at Jim & Mary's RV Resort.  It is a lovely park with a lot of trees and flowers that they plant throughout the park,  I will include a lot of the creative ways they display their flowers.  We took pictures of the surrounding mountains and hills of Missoula.  It is a pretty town of appox. 110,000 situated in a valley in which the Bitterroot, Blackfoor and Clark Fork Rivers run through the valley and town.  The rivers were pretty high.  We did visit Fort Missoula.
