SQUIRREL POSING FOR HIS PICTURE

TODAY WE WENT TO ZION'S NAT'L PARK FOR THE DAY.  THE PARK AND THE SURROUNDING MULTICOLORED MTNS. THAT HAVE BEEN SCULPTED BY BILLIONS OF YEARS OF THE AFFECTS OF THE WINDS AND WATER SHAPING THEM. WE TOOK A COUPLE OF EASY WALKS AND TOOK A TON OF PICTURES.  THE VIRGIN RIVER FLOWS THROUGHOUT THE CANYON.  THE SANDSTONE ROCK CHANGES COLOR AT DIFFERENT TIMES OF THE DAY.  THE RUST COLOR COMES FROM THE IRON AND IRON OXIDE COMPOSITION OF THE STONE ALONG WITH LAYERS OF SAND AND GRAVEL THAT COMPACTED THE LAYERS INTO THE MULTICOLOR SANDSTONE.  WE WERE ABLE TO TAKE PICTURES OF SOME OF THE NATURAL CRITTERS.   A LITTLE SQUIRREL POSED FOR A PICTURE AND WE EVEN GOT A PICTURE OF A GOPHER SNAKE.  IT WAS REALLY WORTH A TRIP TO THE PARK.  IT WAS SUCH AN AWESOME SIGHT!
